  • Maggie McBride is a graduate of Limerick school of Art and Design. She is a garment development consultant, who works with world renowned brands, designing their product for optimum fabrication, fit, and quality.;
    Before starting her freelance business, Maggie worked for over 25 years as a technical design manager and fit specialist. She has lived and worked in Europe, North Africa, Middle East and SE Asia, where she has been instrumental in building garment development teams looking after fabric, fitting, costing and quality.;
    After a successful career helping major clothing brands establish industry leading work practices, Maggie now coaches both established businesses and start-ups on how to develop product for their target markets.;

  • Rebecca Marsden is a knitwear designer from Sligo, in the West of Ireland. She completed her MA in fashion Knitwear at the Royal College of Art in 2019. ;
    Since then she has been involved in functional, performance knitwear projects with the Woolmark Company, adidas and Santoni-Shanghai, developing work that focuses around circular and seamless knitting technology to support and enhance the body in motion.;

Completed his MA degree in Design Management (IADE - Creative University, IPAM), graduated in Fine Arts (FBAUP) and Erasmus student at National School of Fine Arts in Paris (ENSBA).;
    Experience of 15 years as a designer in the footwear, sports and fashion industry, in companies as Procalçado (Portugal) and Decathlon (France). Production experience and industrial partnership with several European, African and Asian factories. ;
    Invited Assistant at Polytechnic Institute of Cávado and Ave (IPCA), teaching courses of Illustration and Graphic Art, Footwear Design, Fashion Design. Interested in Digital Technologies Challenge in Traditional Fashion and Footwear Industries and Teaching Design Processes. ;

  • Luisa Mendes Arruda was born in the city of Vitória, state of Espírito Santo, Brazil, in 1989. She is a PhD student in Textile Engineering at the University of Minho / PT and a researcher at the Center for Textile Science and Technology of the same institution (2C2T). Master in History and Art Criticism from the Federal University of Espírito Santo and holds an MBA in Business Management from Fundação Getúlio Vargas / BR. ;
    Luisa is a fashion designer and researcher with articles published in Brazil and abroad; member of Abepem (Brazilian Association of Studies and Research in Fashion). Designer for several Brazilian brands in the footwear and clothing sector, with collections presented during the Vitória Fashion Week and "Casa de Criadores" Espírito Santo´s edition/Brazil. Luisa acts as responsible for the concept of collections, development and monitoring of the execution of prototypes, and fashion training for representatives and shopkeepers from all over Brazil. ;
    She had held a chair as representative of the State of Espírito Santo at the National Fashion Board of the National Council of Cultural Policies of the Ministry of Culture of Brazil (CNPC-MINC), 2015/2017. As a Researcher and Designer, her areas of interest and expertise are: Wearable Technologies; Smart textiles; Prostheses; and 3D printing.;

  • Joanna Vanderpuije is a London based designer specialising in silk-screenprinted, progressive-luxury textiles, accessories and womenswear. Her textiles evolve from her hand drawings, paintings and mixed media. Trained at Central St.Martins she gained experience working for international fashion houses in New York, Scandinavia and Europe. ;
    Her signature style is noted by the use of vivid colours, fresh playful screenprints and relevant innovative design. Her latest accessory collection is hand stitched and champions a love of colour and respect of craft. Each creation is unique to the owner and a work of functional art to cherish and use.;

    She is now investigating the neurological and physiological phenomenon for the methodology of trauma through the creation of smart woven materials as design tools for sexual abuse trauma recovery. ;

    After several experiences in the field of product design, she continued her studies in Eco-Social design at the Free University of Bolzano, focusing on the holistic understanding of the characteristics and temporalities of consumption in the fashion sector.;
    Her transdisciplinary approach, with a strong focus on design and sociological research, is characterized by the combination of traditional revitalizing clothes techniques, digital fabrication, and participatory design processes.;

  • Luca is a trans-disciplinary designer whose work lies at the intersection of technology, art, design and architecture. In 2017 he graduated from the Interactive Architecture Lab, Bartlett School of Architecture, with a speculative Master thesis on the interaction between humans and industrial robots in a domestic scenario. ;
    Prior to London, Luca studied Industrial Design at Eindhoven University of Technology, in the Netherlands, where he graduated cum laude in 2015, defending a thesis on wearable 3-dimensional displays.;
    Among other venues, his work has been exhibited at Beijing Design Week, Dutch Design Week and Milan’s Fuorisalone. Today, Luca is based in Turin, Italy, where he works as interaction designer as part of an international design studio;
